About The Project
Beginning in 2004, IGV was approached by a Team Merchandising Specialist representing the NFL, with an ambitious goal to bring the team merchandise to the worldwide web. The goal was to develop an eCommerce website and promote marketing strategies to increase exposure and drive traffic to the eCommerce site. After discussing further more into the objectives, vision, and goals, IGV set out to make their vision a reality.
The team began developing the eCommerce platforms from the ground up, utilizing dedicated servers to help keep up with traffic demand. The design was developed with a focus on highlighting product specials, Sale offers, and ease of access to content.
Marketing was focused on highlighting team products that were advertised through different methods. Some of these methods included e-mail blasts, flyers, newsletters, and announcements on the website.
With great success and a winning super champion (2010 – New Orleans, Saints, Super Bowl Champions), IGV was able to build a robust eight-year relationship with the NFL and deliver great successes.
Each team was uniquely and strategically designed to capture the essence of the NFL team, gain user’s interest, and generate revenue. In addition, the user experience was progressively improved with refinements and user feedback. To keep up with demand, IGV decided to host the websites on dedicated servers with additional servers at the ready in any case further demand from the servers would be needed.
